Roy Ng

Data Protection Officer WSQ Trainer, Assessor

Heading our team is Roy Ng, a holder of the Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection (Singapore), jointly issued by the Personal Data Protection Commission (“PDPC”) and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (“IAPP”).

Roy is an active member of AsiaDPO, committed to providing clarity and insights into Privacy and Data Protection in Asia. Additionally, he possesses an Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (“ACLP”), qualifying him to conduct Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (“WSQ”) training, facilitation, and assessments. His training at the Institute of Adult Learning of the Singapore University of Social Studies (SUSS) equips him to train in various courses, including the fundamentals of PDPA obligations and compliance for companies and DPO training.

With over 25 years of senior management-level operations experience spanning various industries, Roy has recently contributed to a law firm’s operations, aiding in internal corporate processes and regulatory compliance.

Beyond his professional endeavours, Roy has been appointed as a member of the Internal Audit Committee of the Singapore Chung Hwa Medical Institution, showcasing his commitment to upholding governance standards.

Notably, Roy serves as our clients’ registered Data Protection Officer, demonstrating his dedication to safeguarding and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

Aloysius Wee

Managing Director

Aloysius is one of the founding members of Aquinas Law Alliance LLP and heads the Private Clients and International Real Estate Practice Groups. Prior to starting Aquinas Law Alliance LLP, Aloysius was the managing principal of Dacheng Wong Alliance LLP, Singapore’s first China, Singapore joint venture law firm. His areas of practice are Intellectual Property Law, Corporate Law, Cross Border Commercial Transactions and Real Estate Transactions.

Aloysius also advises on cross-border joint ventures and transactions and in the area of mergers and acquisitions of companies. Advising clients on entry strategies into China and investments in China is his current expertise given his network in China. He is actively involved in cross border corporate, real estate transactions and investments transactions, across China, India and the ASEAN region.

Aloysius sits as an independent director on various companies listed in Singapore and overseas. Aloysius is also a sought after speaker in areas like “Doing Business in China” and “ASEAN Integration”. He has presented various papers at international conferences in Singapore and overseas. He is also a regular contributor of articles on the law and legal issues of China, India and ASEAN contributing to trade journals, professional newsletters and online publications.

In addition, Aloyisus sits as a director in Tay Leck Teck Foundation and Verbum Dei Singapore Limited (a charity) and serves as a volunteer legal advisor to two other charities, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore) and the Realm of Tranquillity.

Dar Wong

DAR Wong is a professional in Securities and Futures industry with 30 years of experiences in global financial markets. Currently, being a professional in Corporate Finance sector, DAR has been invited to more than 20 countries since 2005 to impart his knowledge in the financial markets. His forte involves the risk hedging and management in commodities, currencies, and financial instruments. His specified trainings have been engaged by Euromoney, Singapore Exchange, Indonesia Futures Exchange, Bursa Malaysia, Thailand Futures Exchange Shanghai Futures Exchange, Korea Futures Exchange, Rubber Research Institute of Thailand (RRIT), Rubber Research of Sri Lanka (RRISL), Cambodia Rubber Research Institute (CRRI), PRIME Philippines, Malaysia Rubber Board, ANRPC, IRRDB, MRPPA, apart from many other banks and financial broker institutions.

For his accolades and achievements, DAR has received the Spirit of Enterprise awarded by Singapore Management University in 2011; ASEAN Economic Award by Royal Privy Council of Thailand in 2012; Outstanding Award in International Financial Market Analysis by ASEAN Economics in Thailand 2015; Medal of Integrity awarded by Royal Palace of Palembang Indonesia in 2015. In 2019, DAR graduated from “ASEAN New Economy Leadership Program” jointly organized by Guangxi CA-Expo Group and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and became the Alumni member of CKGSB. In the same year, DAR spoke in ASEAN Community Leadership & Partnership Forum held in conjunction with 34th ASEAN Summit in Bangkok Thailand. DAR has been certified trainer in Malaysia since 2012 endorsed by the Ministry of Human Resources. He is currently pending the full certification in Singapore as an ACLP trainer with the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL).  

 

Warran Teh

Armed with over 20 years of experience in Business Development and Corporate Management, Warren has manged business developments on IT Security solutions in the Greater China region. He has also managed the marketing and retail operations of multi-chain IT concept stores in Singapore. 

Having attained the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA 5.0),Warren is a certified Work Skills Qualifications trainer and assessor. As the Data Protection Officer, Warren has attained the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (Singapore). 

Mr Dharma Raj

Personal Data Protection Officer

 

Dharmaraj has amassed more than a decade of professional experience in both the private sector and civil service, encompassing diverse industries. His academic foundation is deeply entrenched in the realm of law; he graduated with an LLB (Hons) from London.

 

He also possesses a Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection, which was jointly issued by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) in Singapore.

 

During his tenure with Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management, he performed the duties as a gazetted mediator. Furthermore, he holds a private investigator licence, which was granted to him by the Singapore Police Force (SPF).

 

In addition, he holds an Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) and Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) facilitation, assessment, and training certifications. These credentials were earned during his studies at the Singapore University of Social Sciences’ Institute of Adult Learning.

 

By capitalising on his substantial legal acumen, Dharmaraj possesses a comprehensive understanding of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and associated legal norms. Dharmaraj guarantees adherence to legal requirements and promotes a dedication to safeguarding data privacy and protection through his rigorous supervision, strategic policy formulation, and astute legal acumen. By employing this methodology, stakeholder interests are not only safeguarded but also the utmost standards of integrity and confidentiality are upheld.

Goh EE Hua

Ee Hua is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group of Aquinas Law Alliance LLP (AQLA) who is experienced in advising clients on issues of legal compliance relating to the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012). Her area of work is spread across various industries, including logistics, shipping, mobility solutions, software and programming, energy storage, petroleum and gas and electronic sports. She is focused on advising start-ups and accelerators, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) such as private business lenders with their compliance and operational matters. She is a highly adaptable legal adviser with diverse skillsets and practice experience across multiple sectors, including dispute resolution, corporate and commercial practice, intellectual property, and regulatory work. With her diverse skillsets, Ee Hua is able to provide multi-disciplinary solutions to her clients. 

In addition to her legal practice, Ee Hua also concurrently takes on the role of a Data Protection Officer. Prior to joining AQLA, Ee Hua was a legal counsel with the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore, where she gained public sector regulatory experience and advised on issues relating to compliance, licensing, investigations, regulatory breaches/offences, enforcement, disciplinary actions, and regulatory strategy.
